The K450 MX is a powered wheelchair designed for use by children and small adults with lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury. It features a powered seat-to-floor function that moves the seat forward and down from its normal height to ground level in front of the frame and back again. This function is intended to facilitate transfers or interacting with other people. FRAME (LxW): 33 x 24.5 to 28.5 inches. The minimum turn radius is 41.75 inches. The K450 MX has a ground clearance of 3 inches and independent suspension. The base frame is available in xtreme yellow, platinum silver, black onyx, popstar pink, titan blue and chili pepper red. CONTROLS: Integrated programmable R-Net joystick controller that includes seat adjustment controls. RWD: Rear-wheel drive. SEAT (DxW): 10 x 10; 12 x 12; 14 x 14; or 16 x 16 inches. Solid or sling backrests are available (WxH): 10 x 14: 12 x 16; or 14 x 20 inches. A headrest is optional. The floor-to-seat height ranges from 3 to 26 inches (including powered seat-to-floor function). A powered seat elevator can raise the seat up to 8 inches. There is an optional powered tilt feature that can tilt the seat back up to 45 degrees. UPHOLSTERY: Black leatherette or mesh. ARMRESTS (LxW): 8 or 12.5 x 3.5 inches. The armrests are padded. CASTERS: Rear caster wheels with pneumatic tires. WHEELS: Front wheels, 5 inches wide and 13 inches diameter with pneumatic tires. FOOTRESTS: Center-mounted legrests with fold-up footplates with optional elevation adjustment. Two sizes of footplate are available (LxW): 11.5 x 8 or 14 x 9.5 inches. OPTIONS: Light kit; turn signals; positioning belt. POWER: Uses two Group 34, 12-volt, 60-ampere gel battery (included). A charger is included. SPEED: 5.2 miles per hour. The range is 16 miles per charge, and the maximum recommended incline is 18 degrees going up and down. CAPACITY: 125 pounds. WEIGHT: 311 pounds including batteries.
