--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Code Com Set converts sound into visual display by a flashing disc. If signals are coded in a prearranged way, such as dots and dashes, the deaf person can read them by watching the blinking light display or feeling the disc. The person who is deaf blind must, of course, depend on touch alone. Anyone without speech can send code signals by pushing the send button. The deaf or deaf blind person may need to use the signalman from the bell system to be aware that someone is calling.
