--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 04/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Fortress 2000FS is a three-wheeled scooter designed for use by children and adults with mobility disabilities. FRAME (LxW): 41 x 22.5 to 28 inches. The length and width of the base are adjustable. The wheel base length is 27 or 31 inches and the width adjusts from 19 to 25 inches. The turning radius is 29 inches or 33 inches. CONTROLS: Push bar tiller-mounted control. FWD: Front-wheel direct drive. SEAT: The seat height and distance from tiller are adjustable. The seat height adjusts from 16 to 22 inches from ground. BRAKES: Electronic dynamic braking. An optional hand brake is available. WHEELS: Pneumatic tires are standard. Foam-filled tires are optional. OPTIONS: Baskets and lighting package. POWER: 24-volt system uses the included group 22 batteries and charger. SPEED. 4.4 or 5.5 miles per hour for a range of 12 to 20 miles at a maximum grade of 7 degrees. CAPACITY: 200 pounds. WEIGHT: 100 pounds including batteries. WARRANTY: One year.
