The GlidePoint Desktop and GlidePoint Touch 'N Tap, models GDB220, GDA230 and GPS150, are trackpads designed to provide cursor control using a finger for individuals who have physical disabilities. A person moves his/her finger on the pad and the cursor on the screen replicates the movement. It is an ideal replacement for a mouse in situations where there is limited desk space or for people who have limited arm movement but good finger control. To simulate the mouse buttons, "click" and "double click", users simply tap the pad once or twice (mechanical buttons are also available). To drag and highlight, users tap and hold while moving the finger in the appropriate direction. The Touch 'N Tap ($49) is lightweight and compact and has "plug and point" capabilities, meaning it plugs into any standard mouse driver. The Desktop for PC ($89) and for Macintosh ($99) has a larger touch surface with four mechanical buttons and additional features. Two programmable buttons offers ambidextrous support for right and left handed users. The GlideExtend feature lets usres continue to drag, draw and highlight even when the finger reached the edge of the pad. GlideSets lets users customize buttons and taps for increased efficiency. There is also a Slow Mode to slow down the cursor when more precise movement is needed. Touch sensitivity can also be customized to individual users needs. Included with the Desktop is a gently sloped wristrest. COMPATIBILITY: Touch 'N Tap and the Desktop for PC is compatible with PC-compatible desktop, laptop, or subnotebook computers. Desktop for Mac is compatible with Macintosh SE or above or Powerbook. SYSTEM REAUIREMENTS: Touch N' Tap and Desktop for PC requires serial ports or PS/2 mouseport.
