--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE.--- The Pathsounder "E" Model is an electronic mobility aid for blind cane-travellers and wheelchair users. This device uses ultrasonic sound to probe upcoming paths within a six foot range. The device is worn chest height hung from a neck cord, allowing it to explore the above-the-waist region. Users have a choice of audible signals or silent vibrations. The warning signal changes from intermittent buzzing or chest vibrations at six feet, to high-pitched beeping or vibrations against neck when object is within 30 inches. DIMENSIONS: 2 x 4 x 4.5 inches. WEIGHT: 20 ounces.
