The AmTryke Therapeutic Tricylce, models AM-12 50-0210 & AM-16 50-0411, is a pediatric tricycle designed to be driven by both arms and legs to improve motor skills and strength development for children with physical disabilities. It benefits children with low tone or paralysis of lower extremities and those who need to build up normal muscle tone and control. Standard features include a four-way adjustable frame that dismantles for transport; four-way adjustable seating (up/down and in/out) with either a bucket seat or a saddle seat with a curved back rest; hook and loop lap and chest straps; a continuous chain mechanism for hand/foot movement; a steering lock pin for graduated steering; one front and two rear pneumatic wheels; and self-righting pedals with heel and instep hook and loop straps. The rotating handlebars are attached to the same chain as the foot pedals, enabling the rider to use the arms to assist the legs in propelling the bike. The bike has a wide wheel base and narrow turning radius to provide stability. A safety helmet is included. SIZES: AM-16 12 50-0411 model is for children with a height of at least 41 inches and leg length of 21 to 28 inches; AM-12 50-0210 model is for children with a height of 36 to 42 inches and leg length of 17.5 to 24 inches. DIMENSIONS: Model AM-12 has 12-inch front and rear wheels. Model AM-16 has 16-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels. CAPACITY: 175 pounds (AM-16). COLOR: Red.
