Digit-Eyes Lite is a bar code reading program and a voice output bar code reading program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The program allows a person to use their Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to read Digit-Eyes quick-response (QR) text bar code labels and standard QR bar code labels. The user points the camera at the item he/she wants to scan, taps the “Scan” button, the application, or app, will display the text of the label on the device’s screen and the Apple VoiceOver function will read that text aloud. The user can create a PDF file of Digit-Eyes QR bar codes that each contains labels of up to 100 characters on the Digit-Eyes website, print them out and affix them to items he/she wants to identify. Digit-Eyes Lite can be used to identify clothing, CDs, cans, boxes, documents and appliance settings. Available languages include English, Danish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. Each device must be equipped with a camera. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 4.0 or later.
