The Wavegrip Support Grips are wall grab bars for use in the bathroom or other areas where support is needed for persons with disabilities or seniors to have a secure hand hold. The U-shaped grips are available in a rigid or folding version. For the swivel mechanism of the folding version, an adjustable brake prevents unwanted folding down of the unit in all positions. The ergonomically designed tubing has a continuous "wave" pattern that fits the contours of the hands. The supports are made of aluminum and plastics that are permanently bonded to one another, and have a polyamide surface finish. All parts are cleanable due to this outer coating, and the fixings are covered to eradicate dirt-accumulating areas. These modular components are compatible with Wavegrip handrails and other holding grips (see separate entries) to provide a support system that will negotiate the interior and exterior corners of an entire room. The components are affixed to pre-installed wall mounting plates and can be removed for cleaning or changed to create different configurations. DIMENSIONS: Available in 24- or 30-inch lengths for fixed and pivoting models for right or left applications. COLOR: The grips come in three standard colors (violet purple, ultramarine blue, carmine red) and pure white.
