The Porta-Thiel is a lightweight, portable Braille printer designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. The Porta-Thiel prints on single sheets, continuous forms, plastic, and magazine sheets. It does not use a tractor feeder device to control paper feed. The Porta-Thiel has serial and parallel ports and may be connected to a computer or a Braille keyboard. OPTIONS: Models are available to produce single-sided or interpoint (double-sided) printing. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 4 x 10 x 15 inches. WEIGHT: The single-sided model weighs 9.9 pounds and the interpoint model weighs 10 pounds.
