The Romeo 25 is a braille printer designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The Romeo 25 is a rugged basic embosser suitable for student, personal, or home office use. It produces a 40-character line of Library of Congress Braille at 25 characters per second. Standard features on Romeo 25 include Dynamic Braille Scaling and a choice of resolution settings for graphics. Dynamic Braille Scaling allows the user to change Braille sizes, even within a document, from Library of Congress Braille to California sign Braille, Jumbo Braille, standard Braille with increased line spacing, or the smaller Braille often preferred in Japan. With Romeo 25's two graphics modes, it is possible to make Braille graphics at normal resolution for large shapes or at high resolution for finer detail. Sixteen menus allow the user to customize the embosser for any task. Other printing options include 6- or 8-dot Braille, sideways printing, and multiple strikes per character for extra-emphasized dots or to allow for heavier materials. Turning down the impact control makes it possible to print on regular paper. Romeo 25 will print on a variety of paper sizes. Up to 99 copies of one document can be printed automatically using the Multi-Copy feature. Romeo 25 has a parallel port and a 9-pin serial port.
