This portable, external synthesizer provides human-like tones and several voice styles. This synthesizer plugs into the serial port of a computer and works in conjunction with screen access software to provide speech output of keyed input and other information displayed on the screen. The Express includes a carrying case, a detachable accessory pouch, headphones, a 9-pin RS 232 connector, and a two-foot long cable. COMPATIBILITY: The unit's serial port enables it to be used with IBM and compatible PCs, laptops and notebooks, palmtops, workstations, and Macintosh computers. POWER: Uses an internal, non-removable rechargeable NiCad battery (included). A battery charger is also included. WEIGHT: Less than one pound. WARRANTY: One year.
