In either mode, the cycling direction works in forward or reverse with the arms or legs. The stand alone unit with adjustable angle base can be used on a table top for upper body workouts, or on the floor for wheelchair/chair access. Variable length cranks allow change of the range of motion. A monitor provides digital display of workout time and calculates speed, distance, and calories burned. Revolutions per minute can be set from 20 to 60. PASSIVE MODE: The device has an electric motor to provide range of motion activities to paralized limbs or limbs that do not have the strength to do active exercising. Speed is variable. ACTIVE MODE: In the active mode, the device provides the user with aerobic fitness, muscle strengthening, and can promote weight loss by incorporating a variable resistance workout. COMBINED TRAINING MODE: This mode allows the motor to assist the individual to use their own strength to exercise. POWER: 110V AC.
