Picture of SHEAR-CONTROLLING POWER RECLINE SYSTEMS Shear-Controlling Power Recline Systems are powered reclining systems designed for use with power-base style powered wheelchairs. This system fits Invacare, Quickie, Jazzy, Everest & Jennings power bases and offers a full 90 degrees of tilt. This system slides the seat backward as the seat back reclines, taking pressure off sensitive areas and controlling shearing in the lumbar, sacral, and ischial regions. Standard features include a solid contoured back with high-density foam and a Cordura-Lycra cover, full-length muti-mount back rails, a flat solid seat pan for ease in cushion installation or change, reclining cantilevered removable armrests that can be positioned as desired during recline, contoured Akton Gel armpads with Cordura-Lycra covers, a Rock-n-Lock Akton Gel headrest with a Cordura-Lycra cover, and a choice of manufacturers legrests that elevate simultaneously with recline. The electronics can be operated with the wheelchair's joystick control. OPTIONS: Longer armpads, hardware for use with flip-back and/or dual post armrests, drive lockout during recline, hardware to enable legrests to elevate independently of recline, sling back upholstery, scapular-contoured cut-out back, sling seat frame with upholstery, adjustable speed recline control interface, larger Akton Gel Rock-n-Lock headrest, headrest pad with microswitches, and others. DIMENSIONS: The standard armpads are 12 inches long; optional armpads are 18 inches long. The srandard Akton Gel Rock-n-Lock headrest is 5 x 5 inches; the optional larger model is 7 x 7 inches.
