Bananas the chimp and Jack the jack-in-the-box help students learn two letter sounds, rhyming words, vocabulary building, beginning and ending sounds, sight words and alphebetizing. Simple story-reading lessons helps students put the words they have learned into context. As children learn, the animated characters ask questions, wait for answers and reward correct answers with positive feedback. They talk to students with human voices which ensures that students connect spoken words to written language for developing reading skills more quickly. This program is available on CD-ROM or diskette and is screen accessible through use of TouchWindow (see separate entry). COMPATIBILITY: Macintosh or IBM.
