Visual Assistant is a cognitive aid, prompter, and job aid designed for use by individuals with cognitive and memory disabilities or brain injury. This program is software for a personal digital assistant (PDA) and provides visual and verbal cues to assist the user in performing individualized tasks set up by a caregiver, coach, or other interested party. Visual Assistant is sold as standalone software; with a dedicated PDA pre-loaded with the software; or with a Pocket PC cellular telephone pre-loaded with the software. The HTC Touch2 is recommended as a Pocket PC platform for Visual Assistant. COMPATIBILITY: The software is for use on a PDA or cellular telephone with the Windows Mobile operating system. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows Mobile 5 or 6; 300 megaHertz (MHz) ARM-based CPU; 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA) display; 64 megabytes (MB) of memory (SDRAM); 2 gigabytes (GB) removable storage card; 128 MB internal storage memory (flash ROM); built in microphone and speakers.
