Picture of BRAILLE SENSE PLUS The Braille Sense Plus is a braille notetaker, word processor, personal digital assistant (PDA), and Daisy book player designed for use by individuals who are blind. This unit has a Perkins-style braille keyboard and a 32-cell braille display. It offers 8 gigabytes (GB) of flash memory, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in speaker with stereo earphone jack, a built-in microphone with stereo microphone jack, two USB ports, and an SD slot. The Braille Sense Plus can be used to create, edit, read, and print documents; send and receive e-mail; access the Internet and download files; participate in a live chat; play Daisy-format books; and create and manage an address book and personal schedule. Other features include a calendar, clock, calculator, and online help. Supported languages include English (US), English (UK), German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic, Korean, and Japanese. POWER: Uses rechargeable and detachable battery.
