Atlas Ergonomic Book and Copy Holders are bookholders designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. Available in birch and Trespa (a strong wood product), these units hold books, newspapers, magazines, or individual sheets of paper at a comfortable angle for reading. The Standard Atlas consists of a solid base, a height- and angle-adjustable book support, a shelf, four page stoppers, a spring-loaded clip,and a line guide to hold the place on the page. The Atlas Ultra is also height-adjustable, but has only two angles of adjustability. It consists of a wide base with a slatted book support, a shelf, and four page stoppers. A low-back Atlas Ultra is also available. The Atlas-LC has features similiar to those of the Standard Atlas, except that it has twelve stainless steel page stoppers for library cataloguing or handling massive amounts of material. All of the book holders come with owner's manuals, and each model can hold more than 25 pounds. DIMENSIONS: The Standard Atlas and the Atlas Ultra have bases that measure 11 x 11 inches, backs thare 11 x 14.5 inches, and shelves that are 14 x 3 inches. Atlas-LC has a base that measures 12 x 11 inches, a back that is 12 x 14.5 inches, and a shelf that measures 14 x 4 inches. WEIGHT: The standard Atlas weighs 3.9 pounds. Atlas Ultra weighs 4.9 pounds. Atlas-LC weighs 4.7 pounds. COLOR: Standard Atlas and Atlas-LC are available in black. Atlas Ultra is available in beige, black, and other custom colors.
