Picture of ACCREPAIR AccRepair is Web site accessibility software designed for use by programmers to make Web sites accessible to individuals with disabilities. This desktop software guides the developer or content provider through steps to achieve Web content accessibility. Using a wizard format, the program locates inaccessible Web elements, prompts the user to correct them, and inserts the information the user provides into the HTML source code. When a Web element is repaired, the information is stored in the library database, allowing the program to remember the element and repair it automatically. Users can test for accessibility and usability in accordance with Section 508, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0, Common Look and Feel (CLF), XML Accessibility Guidelines (XAG), and any standard derived from WCAG or Section 508. An integrated digital dashboard features report viewers and preview modes so users can test their pages under variable end-user scenarios. The reporting system provides summary reports for information technology managers and detailed analysis for developers and quality assurance teams. The program also includes AccVerify (see separate entry) for validating and repairing content as part of the development life-cycle.
