The Art History Through Touch and Sound Series is a series of multimedia textbooks designed to teach art appreciation and art history to individuals who are blind or have low vision. Each title in the series includes a Diagram Manual with printed images of artworks and corresponding tactile representations; cassette tapes that guide users through the tactile diagrams; and an accessible Teacher's Supplement on a personal computer (PC)-formatted floppy disk, containing the text of the audio narrative, art appreciation activities, and guidelines for incorporating art into the core curriculum. Titles in the series include The Building Blocks of Art, model 1-09003-00; The Art of Ancient Egypt, model 1-09002-00; African Art, model 1-09004-00; and European Modernism: 1900-1940, model 1-09001-00. OPTIONS: A braille version of the Teacher's Supplement is available separately.

Notes: Recommended ages for teacher-guided study, 8 to 14; for independent study, 15 years to adult.
