ScannaR (Scan and Read) is a scanner and voice output reading machine designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This compact flat bed scanner automatically scans text and reads it aloud. Users can control speed and volume of speech by turning a dial. All functions are performed using seven buttons with tactile markings. In addition to reading printed materials aloud, the machine can store up to 500,000 pages of text, and can be used to capture print materials for the BrailleNote or VoiceNote notetakers (see separate entries) by transferring the saved files using Active Sync. OPTIONS: English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish language versions.
