Helps young children learn tactual matching of textures, recognition of types of textures, and identification of textures by name. Six textured blocks are matched with identically textured nests which hold the blocks. The brightly painted board, 6 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches, contains six recessed nests. Feet are fastened to the bottom of each corner of the board to prevent scarring of desk or table surfaces and to avoid slipping on smooth surfaces. The six natural-finish wood squares, 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches, each have a different texture on one side. The textures on the squares match the textures in the bottom of the nests. Related manual can be ordered separately.
