Speak it! is a voice output program designed for use by individuals with communication, speech, vision or learning disabilities. The user enters text he or she wants to say on the screen and press the “Speak it!” button. The user can use this text to speech program to read emails, news articles, and documents utilizing its voice synthesis engine. The user can copy emails, documents, web pages and PDF file, paste them into the program, and have the text spoken aloud. The program also allows the user to create audio files of the spoken text that can be emailed and to set up a list of pre-made announcements and play them with a press of a button. Other features include the following: four different voices (American male, American female, British male and British female) and 20 more voices can be downloaded; highlighting of words as they are spoken (requires keyboard and iOS 4.0 or greater); speech playback pause and resume; volume, speed of spoken text and font changing; and localized support for French, Italian, German, and Spanish. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.0 or later.
