Locabulary Lite is a voice output direct selection communicator program designed for use by individuals with cognitive, communication, learning, or speech disabilities or autism. This application (or app) enables an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to function as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty speaking. The app combines location and vocabulary to produce words, phrases, and sentences. Locabulary Lite’s categories include Quick Phrase (“Hello”, “Dude”, and “Sweet”), Moods (“I feel daring” or “I am happy”), Assistance (“Where is the restroom” or “Please call the doctor”), and Restaurants (“I would like an Iced Café Mocha Grande” or “I would like a Big Mac”). The user can also customize categories and phrases and create a fast sentence using the app’s noun-verb-object structuring. Other features include location-based vocabulary concept; female voice option; adjustable font size; and quick word buttons for "Yes," "No," "Thanks," "Hello," and "Bye."
