Picture of COMMANDER AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENER The Commander Automatic Door Opener is a powered door opener and closer designed for use by individuals with physical disabilities and wheelchair users. This unit can be used in residential or commercial settings to convert new or existing swinging doors to automatic operation without modifying existing door frames. It works with both in-swing and out-swing door configurations. It can also be used on wheelchair lifts and elevators. The opening speed and hold open time are both adjustable. A constant spiral spring keeps the door closed during strong winds. The unit can be operated with the included handheld remote control or by pushing a button switch. In addition, when the door is pushed open about five degrees, the unit continues to open the door automatically. The door can still be opened or closed manually after the unit is installed. POWER: Uses standard current, which a transformer converts to 16 volts, with a 12-volt emergency battery back-up. DIMENSIONS (HxLxD): 6.5 x 28.5 x 5.25 inches.
