(VERIFIED 07/96) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Safe & Sound CX201 Homecare Alert System is a paging unit designed to protect against wandering around the home for persons with cognitive disabilities. It comes with two pagers, two door sensors and a base control system. The system utilizes wireless magnetic sensors around the home to alert attendants through a pager of any wandering that may lead to an undesired place or situation. With this system, persons with cognitive disabilities do not have to be tagged with braclets or any other similar devices. This warning system requires no wiring and the sensors can be applied with Velcro to a door or gate around the home. The frequency range for this paging systems operates within a half-mile. For guests and other family members, there is a simple clip-on door sensor bypass. OPTIONS: A motion detector to warn of movements from, or into, specific areas inside the house; extra door or hall sensors may be added; extra pagers may be added. POWER: Base Control System uses 220 volt AC; Sensors & Pagers - 9 volt transistor battery. DIMENSIONS: 12 x 12 x 3 inches - Base Unit. WEIGHT: 6.5 pounds - Base Unit. WARRANTY: 6 months for Base Unit & Sensors; 90 days for Pagers.
