(Verified 10/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Gel Foam Alarm Cushion is a gel foam cushion designed for use with wheelchairs to sound an alarm when the user leaves the chair without assistance. The gel foam cushion may be used alone or with the Posey Keep Safe or Sitter II Alarms (see separate entries). The cushion features a pocket in the bottom in which the chair pad sensor is inserted. The sensor is then connected to the alarm. When the wheelchair user is seated the alarm automatically engages; as the user attempts to stand, the alarm sounds. The cushion is covered in Staph-Chek vinyl. Model 6511 is a complete system and includes the cushion, a sensor pad, and the Posey Keep Safe Alarm (see also separate entry). Model 6509 includes the cushion and the sensor pad only. DIMENSIONS (WxDxH): The cushion is 18 x 16 x 2 inches. OPTIONS: Keep Safe Alarm and chair sensor pad.
