The Sterling 1000 Series Straight Stair Lift is an interior stair lift designed for use by individuals with balance, lower extremity, or mobility disabilities. The lift has a folding seat that runs on an aluminum track on one side of the stairway. There are three seating options: A standard Luxury seat, a SpaceSaver seat that takes up less space for use on narrower stairs, and a Perch seat that allows the user to travel in a more upright posture. The seats have wipe-clean, flame-retardant upholstery, can be folded when not in use, and come with a seat belt. There is a lockable control pad under the arm, as well as a handheld remote control unit. Safety sensors stop the unit if obsructions are encountered during travel. OPTIONS: Hinged track to keep the track clear of doorways or other obstructions at the base of the stairs; power footrest that lifts automatically when the front seat section is lifted. POWER: Uses 24-volt direct current (DC) battery. DIMENSIONS: Seat is 15.75 inches deep. The seat back height is 16.5 inches. Footplate-to- seat height is 21 to 34.75 inches. The footplate height is 3 inches. The footplate is 26.5 inches wide and 15.25 inches folded. Armrest width is 17.25 to 23.5 inches. Wall to seat back distance is 5.75 inches. Track intrusion onto staircase is at least 5.5 inches. SPEED: 5 meters per second. CAPACITY: 302 pounds. COLORS: Upholstery is available in sky blue, Kerry pink, bute, or Brechin green. WARRANTY: Two-year manufacturer's parts warranty and lifetime warranty on the gearbox and motor.
