The Stannah Curved-Rail Stairlift, model 260, is an interior stair lift designed for use by individuals with mobility, walking, or balance disabilities. The lift rail is custom-made to fit the user's stairs. The rail can be designed to allow the chair to be parked off the stairs, or if the rail cannot be designed to run onto the top landing, a swivel seat allows the user to turn onto the landing so that the back of the chair blocks the stairs. The unit comes with two radio-controlled remotes, one for each landing, and a key lock under one armrest. Safety devices include a retractable lap seat belt, an over speed governor, an off-charge alarm to indicate that batteries are not being recharged, and safety sensors on the footrest and both sides of chair to stop the stairlift if it touches an obstruction. OPTIONS: Intermediate stop for mid-landing on a split-level staircase; powered swivel seat; lap-diagonal retractable seat belt; Solus or Sofia chair. POWER: Stair lift uses rechargeable battery; remotes each use 3 double-A batteries. DIMENSIONS: Distance between armrests, 19 inches; depth of seat cushion, 15 inches; seat height from floor, 22 to 26 inches at bottom landing and 18 to 26 inches at top landing; folded width from wall, 15.5 inches; width of rail, 1.75 inches; distance of rail from baseboard, 6 inches. The minimum stair width is about 29 inches, depending on the knees of the user. SPEED: 18 feet per minute. CAPACITY: 265 pounds. COLOR: Upholstery is tan, green, blue, burgundy, or red.
