--- “DO IT YOURSELF” ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To create a coupon holder communication display that can be used with children and adults with intellectual or communication disabilities. Take a magnet backed coupon holder (can be found at a dollar store) and place it on the refrigerator where it can be easily reached. Using 2 x 3 inch cards create picture/symbol cards for the user of foods, juices, etc. and to represent actions such as want, eat, like, thirsty, hungry, done, etc. Place the appropriate picture/symbol cards in the holder.
