Tellus 3+ is a direct selection or keyboard communicator designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. The system consists of a tablet personal computer (PC) with a touch screen and Mind Express graphical communication software or Eurovocs Suite onscreen keyboard software. The touch screen can be activated with an active pen, finger, or fingernail, and the device can also be controlled with a switch or joystick through a port or through the device's built-in wireless connection. The device has headphone audio output and built-in amplified speakers. Ports include two USB 2.0 ports, one Type II PC Card slot, one Firewire (IEEE-1384) port, one Joystick/Switch direct connection port, and one Infrared port. POWER: Uses lithium-ion battery, external battery pack, or an alternating current (AC) adapter. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 9.7 x 12.7 x 1.6 to 2.4 inches. The TFT screen is 12.1 inches. WEIGHT: 5.5 pounds without external battery pack. COLORS: Red or blue casing.
