The 4-Choice Sequential Scanner for the Visually Impaired is a scanning communicator designed for use by individuals with communication disabilities or low vision. This communicator can display up to four brightly illuminated icons simultaneously. It is mounted on a 19-inch gooseneck that can be fastened to the edge of a table or desk with a clamp or used on a table-or desktop with a base with a storage compartment. The gooseneck, clamp and base are included as is a carrying handle. The 4-Choice Sequential Scanner features adjustable scanning speed of 1 to 12 seconds; 12 levels; optional auditory cueing; two jacks for one- or two-switch scanning; and four scanning modes (inverse, automatic, two switch, and step). It also offers volume control 300 seconds of recording time, and a recordable level announcer. The communicator requires one or two capability switches (not included).
