--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 11/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Canon Communicator M is a portable communication aid that offers 190 keyboard functions and printed tape output. The A, B, C, D, and E keys may be used to store words or phrases of up to 19 characters each. Messages or phrases stored may be changed at any time by the user. The Canon Communicator M may be used as an alternate input to a computer with a serial interface. Output from the Canon Communicator M is to a thermal dot printer. Input is made via direct selection. Keyguards, wheelchair mounting, raincover, arm belts, and other accessories are available for the Canon Communicator M. The aid may be interfaced to an IBM computer. PRINTER DIMENSIONS: 3.3 x 5.2 x 1.2 inches. WEIGHT: 9.2 ounces. POWER: Rechargeable battery pack.
