Next Product »--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 08/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Say It is an auditory scanning program that allows an Apple computer to be used as a scanning communication aid. The program presents menus on the screen and reads off the options (words or phrases) in a low tone of voice. When the desired phrase is reached, the user activates a single switch, and a speech synthesizer speaks the phrase in a louder tone of voice ("classroom" level). Ability to use the keyboard is required in order to build the lexicon of phrases. Output from Say It may be printed as well, if the computer is so equipped. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple II computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: To operate Say It, a speech synthesizer compatible with the computer used is required. A single switch interface (extra) is recommended.
