« Previous Product Next Product »--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 05/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Horizon Low Vision Magnifier is a low vision reading system designed for use by individuals with low vision. This system automatically converts text from a book, magazine, or newspaper into a single line of words that continuously scrolls across a computer screen. The components involved in the system are a scanner, a monitor, a processor module, and a track ball. This system magnifies up to 35 times in a choice of three different reading modes: Single line, columns, and full page. The Single Line Mode allows the user to read entire documents as a single stream of words which can automatically move across the display at the reader's desired speed; the Columns Mode is designed to arrange a column style text into a single continuous column that is scrolled by vertically moving the track ball; and the Full Page Mode is intended to allow the reader to view documents in a full page format, using the track ball to manipulate the text at any desired time. The system also features an Inverse Mode that enables the user to make a quick reversal of contrast (black on black to white on black), built-in upgrade potential, high contrast, and character smoothing. WARRANTY: Two years.
