(Verified 02/2010) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Bake and Taste is a reading and math tutorial and problem solving program for children with learning disabilities that uses the challenges of creating a recipe to teach basic math problem solving skills. Combining tasty recipes, delicious ingredients and guided instructions, students learn to follow directions, find creative solutions to problems, organize, plan, recognize fractions and read for detail. The challenge upgrade feature enables the program to be customized to various skill levels and offers sound options, a library of 30 recipes, animation and interactive feedback. Bake and Taste is available on 5.25- and 3.5-inch disks for Apple and MS-DOS systems and 3.5"-inch disks for Macintosh computers. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple, MS-DOS and Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For MS-DOS - IBM or compatible; 128K for CGA (or 512K for MCGA/VGA); one 5.25 or 3.5 disk drive (both disks included); printer is optional. For Macintosh - Macintosh Plus or better; 1 MB RAM for monochrome, 2 MB for color; hard disk; digitized speech with System 6.0.7 or higher; TouchWindow and printer are optional. For Apple - Apple II, II+, IIe, IIc, IIc+, IIGS; 48K; printer is optional. WARRANTY/GUARANTEE: If less than satisfied, manufacturer will fully refund disks (in resaleable condition) returned in 30 days. Return defective disks to Mindplay for replacement. The disk will be replaced for free for 90 days thereafter, for a handling fee of $10.
