(Verified 04/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- U-Control-It-4, model 567, is a direct selection communicator and call signal designed for use by individuals with severe physical disabilities. This computerized controller functions as a nurse call, a direct selection communicator, and a control switch. The unit has four sectors, each of which can be labeled; a device connected to each sector can be activated by activating a corresponding switch (not included). The first switch activation turns on a green light in the corresponding sector; the second activation turns on the connected device and simultaneously turns on a red light. If words or phrases are used as labels, the device acts as a communicator; the chosen message is indicated by the red light. The unit can also have dual uses, with one or two sectors used as a communicator and the others used to activate devices. POWER: Uses four double-A batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS (WxDxH): 7 x 6.25 x 2.75 inches.
