Picture of ADA 100 AREA OF RESCUE CALL SYSTEM The ADA 100 Area of Rescue Call System is an intercom based call signal system that is designed to be vandal-proof and in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act requirements. The system consists of multiple Master stations that are either wall- or desk- mounted, and up to 60 of individual area stations, installed flush in the wall or surface mounted, in Areas of Rescue Assistance. This 2-way communication system presents both locations with visual as well as audible signals, and allows hands-free voice communication from area stations. The following equipment comes standard with the system: 16-gauge stainless steel stations, amplifier (model ADA-35), transformer, audible and visual alarms, engraved lettering, back-up battery, and tamper-proof hardware. OPERATION: On each area station module are 2 lights corresponding to the messages "Help Requested" and "Help Coming", a large round "HELP" button, and a speaker. A person in need of aid presses the button and the "Help Requested" light turns on. At the same time, an electronic signal is sent to the Master station indicating the location of the call. If the person in the Area of Rescue Assistance cannot hear or respond to the verbal reply from the Master station, the "Help Coming" light is turned on by the Master station attendant who can then send help. OPTIONS: Braille; electronic door opener; up to 100 area stations; solid brass construction. The call tone has an oscillator amplification frequency of 400 Hertz (Hz). POWER: The amplifier is powered by a 16-volt 20 V transformer (model ADA-16). DIMENSIONS: The Master station panel is 7 7/8 x 7 inches; Area station panels are 7 7/8 inches square. The desktop model is triangular in shape, 4.5 inches high and 7 inches long. The "Push for Help" button on the area stations is 3 inches in diameter. WARRANTY: All equipment is factory warranted for 2 years.
