« Previous Product Next Product »The Silent Alert Paging System, model SA3000, is a personal paging system designed for use by individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf blind. The system includes a portable vibrating pager unit that is worn by the user, a charger, and at least one transmitter / monitor. Small transmitter units send radio signals to alert the user of events around the home. Events that can be monitored include telephone calls, the doorbell, baby crying, car or burglar alarms, and fire or smoke alarms. The system can also be used for person-to-person paging (e.g., to summon a caregiver). Overnight cover can be provided by adding a vibrating Pillow Pad and or a flashing strobe light. The operating range of the system is over 150 meters in open air, and less within a building depending on the building's structure. The system uses digital UHF radio operating on a specially allocated frequency. POWER: Uses built in rechargeable battery in the pager unit and standard 9-volt batteries for the monitor / transmitter units; alkaline batteries are recommended. For the monitor / transmitter units, battery life is three to four days depending on the number of transmissions.
