The Clarity Professional Amplified Cordless Telephone, model C4220, is an amplifier telephone designed for use by people who are hard of hearing. This phone amplifies incoming sound up to 50 decibels. The hearing aid compatible phone uses Digital Clarity Power technology including multiband compression, noise reduction, acoustic echo Cancellation, and 50 decibels (dB) of intelligent amplification at 118 dB SPL to make calls louder, clearer and easier to understand. Features include bright red visual ringers in the handset and base to signal incoming calls; a concave earpiece to create an acoustic chamber to provide crystal clear sound; full-duplex speakerphone in the handset; adjustable volume and four tone settings to provide a customized listening experience; high-contrast LED screen; contoured handset shape; generously spaced backlit buttons; digital 5.8 gigaHertz (GHz) transmission; and call waiting/caller ID with 40 name and number memory. This phone can be expanded with up to three additional handsets. POWER: Uses drop-in battery for three to four hours of talk time and six hours of stand-by time. OPTIONS: Additional handsets.
