(Verified 7/98) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE.---The 2000-SP is a telephone with speakerphone and switch control designed to permit hands-free operation of the unit. This Sip & Puff model allows the user to answer the phone anytime after the second ring by simply saying "hello" from any distance up to 30 feet away. Outgoing calls are made by sipping and puffing into a special mouthpiece. Sipping activates the speakerphone and brings up the dial tone. Puffing then connects the user with the operator, who can dial a requested number. To disconnect, the user sips on the mouthpiece again.
