--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The MasterTouch TouchTablet is an interactive tactile computer screen driven by the MasterTouch screen reading software (see separate entry). The touch-sensitive surface includes raised lines for the reading of entire lines, line numbers, and portions of lines. Touching the tablet surface at any point causes the word at the corresponding point on the visual screen to be spoken. Spatial orientation to screen layout therefore has a 1:1 tactual relation. The tablet has two modes, Training mode and Tone mode, and features cursor routing to the last place touched on the tablet. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC computers; interfaces with the Keynote Gold speech synthesizer (see separate entry). DIMENSIONS: 9 x 12 x .5 inches. WEIGHT: 1 pound.
