Google Keyboard Shortcuts are a keyboard modification program designed to enable individuals with upper extremity disabilities who cannot use a mouse to navigate through Web search results. These Shortcuts allow the user to explore search results quickly without taking their hands from the keyboard to use the mouse. After a search is performed, the user begins with the "K" key, located under the right middle finger. Press "K" once to bring up the colorful balls and then as needed to move down to the result of interest. If the user navigates beyond the deired result, pressing "I" navigates back up. At the desired result, pressing "Enter" follows that link. If the page is too slow to load, the user presses "Backspace" to return to Google's results page, and then presses "C" to see the page from Google's cache. Pressing "S" takes the user to similar pages to the selected result. Using "N" or "P" navigates to the next or previous result. Using the numbers 1 through 9 selects the corresponding search result; using 0 takes the user to the tenth result. To change the query, the user presses "A" to select the search box. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers or Mactintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For IBM and compatiblecomputers, Internet Explorer 5 or higher, Netscape 6, or Mozilla Javascript enabled Cookies enabled (optional) For Macintosh computers, Netscape 6 or Mozilla is recommended because Google Keyboard Shortcuts does not fully work on Mac Internet Explorer.
