Picture of IT'S SENSATIONAL! LANGUAGE KIT (MODEL LK-IS) The It's SENSational! Language Kit, model LK-IS, is an academic and language tutorial program designed for use by children with cognitive or communication disabilities. This kit teaches students about their five senses. It includes a book written with limited vocabulary and repetitive lines using Mayer-Johnson Picture Communication Symbols (see entry); an interactive computer book that combines text, pictures, speech and sound; and a songboard, word cards, and vocabulary games. Students learn about their senses through the activity of making Kool Aid. A sensory bag and BINGO game challenge students to use their senses to describe a variety of items through touch, sound, smell, and sight. The computer story uses simple animations to expand language concepts.
