Designed for children aged 6-8 years, it builds early phonics and reading skill while children learn to write and type on the computer. It does this by teaching children to type by linking speech sounds with specific finger motions. The program introduces 40 speech sounds of the English language in a sequence carefully designed to allow children to quickly progress from typing single letters to creating whole words, phrases and stories. The program provides over 200 sequenced game activities that improve phonics, typing, reading, writing and spelling skills. COMPATIBILITY: IBM compatible or Macintosh. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For IBM: 386DX/33MHz or better; hard disk; double speed CD-ROM drive; 256-color SVGA; DOS 5.0 or higher and Windows 3.1 or higher (including Windows '95); Windows compatible sound card; 4MB of RAM. For Macintosh: 68030 processor or better; hard disk; double speed CD-ROM drive; 256-color monitor; System 7.0.1 or higher; and 4MB of RAM.
