(Verified 12/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Phonics Talking Learning System, model 2600, is a voice output reading and spelling tutorial device designed for use by children with learning and cognitive disabilities. The program helps users to develop and practice alphabet, phonics, spelling, and reading skills. When inserted, a talking card says name of picture ("stop") and says its spelling ("S", "T", "O" "P"). Pressing letters on the card causes the phonic sounds ("s", "t", "o", "p") to be spoken. The device comes with 20 primary cards and 5 lesson packs (20 cards) for each lesson of consonants, vowels, and diphthongs, and it has a built-in handle for carrying. POWER: Uses four double-A batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 5 x 2.5 x 12.5 inches. WARRANTY: 90 days.
