Picture of TOBII SONO KEY The Tobii Sono Key is an on screen keyboard program designed for use by individuals with speech or communication disabilities. Specifically, it is designed for literate users as an add-on for the Tobii Communicator software. On-screen keyboard layouts are changeable among ABC, QWERTY and keyboard layouts optimized for eye control, and the keyboard also features oversized buttons. Sono Key supports various input methods, including direct selection by click or touch, selection with adjusted dwell time, scanning and eye control. It also features a text-to-speech capability and allows users to create save sentences and phrases for quick retrieval when writing. The software also can be used to control some basic computer functions such as storing and printing documents and enlarging or reducing the size of applications on the screen. Sono Key can be used to interface with environmental control feature works. Other features include calendar, calculator, e-mail with the support of synthetic speech, instant messaging, mobile phone functionality with SMS messages, media players, and photo libraries. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Tobii Communicator (see separate entry) Version 4.3 or higher. The Premium version of Communicator is required to access Sono Key’s e-mail-related features.
