RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Predictor is a RAM-resident word prediction program that provides two different options for increasing typing speed and precision. The Word Prediction feature checks a typed character against a list of preprogrammed words. Words beginning with that character appear in a window in the upper right hand corner of the screen and may be selected for entry into the program being run. The Abbreviation Expansion feature permits preprogramming of words and phrases to equal a series of keystrokes. During typing, Predictor checks to see if the characters being typed match any preprogrammed abbreviation, and if so replaces the abbreviation with the appropriate word or phrase. Voice output can be generated at any time using most serial port text-to-speech voice synthesizers (extra). Since Predictor runs transparently, all features are available at all times while standard software is being run. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC or compatible computers.
