« Previous Product Next Product »The Universal Module, model 615, 616 and 616-8, is a control switch interface unit that increases the flexibility of switch controls by providing alternate actions, intention delays and timed outputs for children with physical disabilities. There are 6 output possibilities that can be modified with or without intention delays: Alternate On/Off; Momentary; and Timed (can be used with one or two switches). With Alternate on/off, the initial switch closure turns on a connected device, the secondary switch closure turns it off. Momentary uses onw or two external switch to activate device with no modification of action. With Timed, the switch closure turns on the device for a preset length of time. Adjustable from 1-30 seconds. A 3-position switch on the Universal Module selects alternate, momentary, or timed operation. Any of the output modes can be further modified with the use of the intention delay. Use of the intention delay requires sustained and purposeful pressure on the selected external switch before a closure can occur. The intention delay can be preset for a 1-12 second delay before a device can either be turned on or turned off. The Universal Module can be purchased with or without a counter. The built in digital display counter registers any switch closure when connected to the module.
Notes: Intention delay is useful for patients with uncontrolled movements. ** Toys for Special Children also designs, develops, and manufactures one-of-a-kind devices for persons with disabilities.
