Next Product »Gateway AI is a van lift safety lock designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This product combines the Intelligent Lift Interlock System (see separate entry), which automatically prevents lift operation while the vehicle is unsecured, with the Advanced Fast Idle System (AFIS), which automatically increases engine speed when the vehicle voltage drops below 11.5 volts and the vehicle is in Park with the parking brake set. AFIS enables the vehicle's charging system to provide more charge back to the battery during idle conditions. The system can also be manually engaged to increase air conditioning compressor speed and performance. Releasing the park brake or applying the service brake will disengage the AFIS system. The system also automatically increases the 6.0 liter engine coolant temperature 10 to 12 degrees within the first two minutes of start up for improved cabin heating. Other features include Dynamic Load Response and self diagnostics. The system is installed through a Plug & Play connection. WARRANTY: 2 years or 24,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Notes: The manufacturer states that this product complies with the lift interlock requirements of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Title 49 Code of Regulations and meets FMVSS 403 requirements.
