More Fun With Directions HD is a voice output language, vocabulary tutorial program and a cause and effect and behavior training program designed for use by language therapists and parents working with children who have cognitive, communication, developmental, or learning disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a therapist or parent to use an Apple iPad to help children to practice listening, auditory memory and auditory processing as well as following directions and learning colors and spatial concepts. The app focuses on 12 opposing concepts: turn on and turn off; up and down; front and behind; on and under; put in and take out; and above and below. More Fun with Directions HD will teach a child to receive and follow simple directions, such as "Turn on the lamp," and more complex directions, such as "Do you see a musical instrument with black and white keys? Put it behind the couch." Other features include settings to turn the text output on or off (to practice reading versus listening), selecting specific concepts, and selecting desired level of play (easy, intermediate, or advanced). The user also can turn on the "Superstar Direction" option, which causes surprise questions ("What did you have to do?") to pop up at random times for additional practice remembering and expressive language. The child's response to each question is recorded and can be played back. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 3.2 or later.
Notes: This product is sold through the App Store on Apple iTunes. ** iPad and iTunes are registered trademarks of Apple Inc.
